BioMind: Augmenting Diagnosis and Treatment with AI

Raymond Moh, CEO, BioMindRaymond Moh, CEO
Sustainable Healthcare has turned out to be a necessity, and the demand for healthcare workers has seen a tremendous hike. Mounting demands has engulfed the hospitals, which results in soaring fatigue and misdiagnosis. With the preface of AI in the healthcare industry, it has enabled the organizations to do machine learning and predictive analysis of healthcare by entering the data into algorithms. There has been a paradigm shift in the treatment of the patients with excessive amounts of data in the hands of the doctors that can be applied usefully. BioMind a provider of state-of-the-art AI technology empowers healthcare professionals with a strong team of deep learning scientists, software engineers, and medical experts. BioMind helps the doctors by developing the precision and efficiency of a diagnosis and treatment process that surpass human limitations.

BioMind has developed a diagnostic support system used to analyze MRI and CT images, jointly with medical specialists from world-renowned hospital Beijing Tiantan, at the National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases. BioMind offers a user-friendly support system that analyzes medical images and automatically recommends a diagnosis within seconds. “Our AI is able to learn from the best doctors and to become an AI doctor itself and to assist doctors to diagnose such medical images,” states Raymond Moh, CEO of BioMind. It can even upgrade the existing system with the development of new applications and the analysis of neurological conditions to medical conditions of other body systems.

Our AI is able to learn from the best doctors and to become an AI doctor itself and to assist doctors to diagnose such medical images

Furthermore, BioMind has sophisticated image processing features like segmentation and 3D reconstruction in addition to that; it can improve and self-learn through prediction and doctor’s revision. “Through thousands of medical images it can identify the abnormalities, and it can highlight it,” says Moh. Keeping in mind the sustenance of the quality of the product offered to the clients, the BioMind team establishes reliable after-sales support to maintain regular updates of the products.

When it comes to medical treatments and hospitals, data privacy and security is the vital concern of the patients. BioMind processes data and reports generation within the premises of the hospital, patient data need not be uploaded into external servers, reducing the risk of a data breach. The company’s deep learning technology can analyze diseases like brain tumors, stroke conditions, microvascular diseases, and macrovascular diseases.

An example of BioMind AI system outshining human physicians in a competition of diagnosing brain tumors and predicting hematoma expansion conducting in Beijing will clear the concept. Fifteen senior doctors participated against BioMind AI system. Thousands of images of nervous system-related diseases were fed in the AI by the developers to train it.

AS a result, BioMind AI made 87 percent correct diagnosis in 255 cases in 15 minutes while the team of doctors only achieved 66 percent accuracy. AI also delivered 83 percent accurate predictions of brain hematoma expansion cases, outperforming 63 percent accuracy of the group of physicians.

BioMind focuses predominantly on improving efficiency by empowering doctors and healthcare professionals with advanced technologies. The company has pioneered in building the world’s first CE-certified AI application for brain diagnosis that features image segmentation, 3D reconstruction, prediction of analysis for abnormalities, and generates the automatic report. The BioMind team aims to excel in healthcare expertise globally to benefit the patients via the accurate diagnosis, lower costs, delivery speed, and access to modern AI technologies.
